Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!

I’m so mad. Someone responded to my facebook status that said:
“If God is with me, then who can be against me? No one! So get off my back Satan because Christ who is in me is greater than you’ll ever be :).”
with
“Yeah but Christ turned water into wine so he is an alcoholic. lol =P.”
I literally wanted to go through the screen and punch him in the face. It just got me so mad. I was just like wow.. -___- I know people are blinded by the enemy but man..C’mon really?
Romans 12:9 (NIV) “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”
I told him it was blasphemy and that it wasn’t funny.
I was once foolish like he was once, but that’s my Savior he is talk about. It just got me angry…
If God is with me, then who can be against me? No one! So get off my back Satan because Christ who is in me is greater than you’ll ever be :). Hallelujah! Praise God. I’m so happy right now I can hardly stand it.

I preached last week on Wednesday. I opened up with Luke 11:33-43.
Luke 11:33-43 (NLT) “No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is bad, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.”
My main points were that as children of God we have to see with good eyes and fill ours spiritual bodies with light by reading God’s Word, being in partnership with the person of the Holy Spirit, and being holy as God is holy.
(1 Peter 1:16 [NIV] for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”)
We should not see with bad eyes and fill our spiritual bodies with things that are unholy and things that do not please God. The things that are not of God is called sin. Every sin comes from our flesh and our enemy; the devil. We must rebuke the devil in the name and in the blood of Jesus. And put to death our flesh and live in the spirit.
Last but not least I said that we have to be the lamps to our families, to our church, and to the world. So that when we shine upon others they will see God’s light in us.
During my preaching, in my opinion, I sounded boring and robotic. It was so short that after I said “Thank you” at the end some people were like “..That’s it?” They clapped and I wobbled to my sit with my head down. The pastor’s son took the stand and said I did a good job. I screamed “No! It was horrible.” (I’m always hard on myself, I guess you can call me a bit of a perfectionist.) Everyone laughed, but they honestly thought it was good. Someone told me “You did good. If that’s what God put in your heart..You did it for the glory of God. That is all that matters.” And you know what that person is totally right. As long as I did it for my God — it’s all that counts. :D
It was a blessing and honor to preach God’s Word to my fellow youth. I was grateful that God gave me an opportunity to preach. The preaching was a blessing in itself but even before the preaching God helped me. I prayed and fasted for a few days, I didn’t want to mess it up because it was for the glory of God. You see, I’m the type of person who dislikes to be ‘the center of attention.’ I’m also the type of people who doesn’t have much charisma and oral skills. Therefore during these days I was so nervous and insecure. At some points I thought that I couldn’t do it or if I did do it I would do a terrible job at it. My insecurities were closing in on me and I was frantic. I didn’t know what to preach about.
(It reminded me of the time when God called Moses to lead His chosen people out of Egypt but Moses didn’t want to do it because he didn’t believe in himself.
Exodus 3 and 4. Highlights of these Chapters:
3:11 ‘But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?”
4:10 ‘But Moses pleaded with the LORD, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”
4:11-13 ‘Then the LORD asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”)
I prayed. I asked God to make me be a good speaker like Mose’s brother Aaron was and for the Holy Spirit to guide me into what to preach about.
( Exodus 4:14 “Then the LORD became angry with Moses. “All right,” he said. ”What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he speaks well…”)
So as I was flipping through my Bible desperate to find something to preach about. Suddenly I found verses of encouragement. The verses of which I remember were:
Philippians 4:13 (NLT) “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
Proverbs 3:6 (NLT) “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Philippians 4:6 (NLT) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
John 14:27 (NLT) “I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
It was just like boom boom boom, one after another. Every time I flipped a page a verse was there to encourage me. As I was reading them I was smiling so much. I just looked up and said “Wow. Thank you Father.” I just felt like He was there with me, like a father would help their young daughter with her homework. It was just very heart warming.
I love God; God loves me. :D <3
straight up
Real truth, man.
This video came up on one of the Saturday fastings my church has with the youth. Just a believer using poetry to express his belief in Jesus Christ and not religion. I like this poem because it’s supports my answer to this question “Are you religious?”
My answer: “No. I’m a child of God and I believe in Jesus.”
I’m so grateful to be God’s daughter. He has blessed me greatly these past few days and I just feel the joy and peace only God can give.
John 14:27 (NLT) “I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
He has blessed me with the presence of the Holy Spirit and the person of the Holy Spirit has been guiding me abundantly these past few days. It’s just been amazing to work with the Holy Spirit and have Him be my leader and my commander. Since God has blessed me and given me many experiences these past couple of days I’ll post them up separately later on. I just wanted to give the glory and honor to Him in this post because He is merciful, loving, and faithful.
My anti-drug = GOD. I want an overdose of the Holy Spirit! :D

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
